The Nameless Fish

Yesterday I bought three goldfish and two small snails to make my apartment a little more homey. Sadly two of the fish did not make it through the night. The remaining fish is doing well, connent to swim laps around the aquariemu. The only delema now is that he is a nameless.

I am taking nominations of decent fish names. Please feel free to post a suggestion. After a week or so I'll give instructions on how the finially voting will be done. And then fish will have a name (provided that he lives that long).

Well, since you're in Japan, you should give the fish a Japanese name. Yoshi... or something.

Secondly... I'm jealous that you're there and I'm not! Grrr...

Seriously, though, I'm super stoked for you. Enjoy the adventure and don't miss a thing.

Hey Cuz

I've been racking my brain over the fish name. You could go with, Godzilla, maybe it killed the other two fish and must be supreme fish or go with

kingyo = goldfish

Steve. I like Steve for a fish. Barring that, you should go with Fluffy. If for no other reason, it would mess with peoples' heads.

I agree that it should be something totally random and unfish-like. I like 'fluffy' and maybe 'star'.

By the way, I am so excited for you! I expect a full report!

Wow, great suggestions everyone, thanks! it's going to make the voting a challege. I really like the unknown persons idea of "dog" because my fish at college was named Rover. At the time I was thinking that my next fish would be a Felix. But a Japanese name makes more sense. hmmm. oh the possblities.

Just an update the fish survived night two. He seems to be doing well, i just need to remember to feed him.

Lastly, I hate -hate these stupid company "nice post, go to this website" comments. Do they have to ruin everything that is good in the world? FRUSTRATION!

I suggest 'Gill' b/c fish have gills and Bill Murray had a fish named Gill in the movie What About Bob and He was also in the movie Lost in Translation which was set in Japan.
