Day 4: I Quit

It's hard letting go of stuff. I like holding onto it...I'm like a dragon sitting on my horde of treasure (I've been re-reading the Hobbit). And I as I've already admitted I don't do well with letting go. I fought the idea all morning. At lunch I read the suggested article How To Declutter You Home. It was insightful (apart from some Feng Shui ideas I disagreed with) I found it very helpful.
So tonight when I went home I removed a book from my library and donated it to the church. I think this was a good choice for a few reasons:
- I buy books all the time. Books are always coming into my house but none ever leave. My library has become a large, unruly stash. They're not even on shelves. They just gather in piles and corners around my tiny apartment.
- I bought the book after my freshmen year of collage (longer ago than I'd like to admit) and I still haven't read it.
- It's at the church library so if I ever do what to read it I still have access to the book.
