Last Day
I am my last moments of 32. It has been a fun year with a good balance of highs, lows, and unforgettable moments. I am a little sad to have it end but I am also really excited for what this next year has in store.
33 always seems like an important year for me, and yes it is probably because that's how old Jesus was when he died. I want to make the most out of the next 365 days so I am creating a new set of birthday challenges. Long-suffering readers might remember my first year long "birthday challenges" was "25 challenges before I turn 25." The next year I did a "25 while 25." I think I also did a "30 while 30. "
For my 33rd year I thought about who I want to be in a year and what type of memories I wanted to have and went from there. I wrote a list of possible goals and dreams. If it was fun or something that would add growth, adventure, or joy to my life it was added. I also wanted challenges to "pay it forward," serve or help bless others. The list had 68 goal ideas. I've since worked the list down to 33 challenges and here they are, my 33 While 33:
Challenges in progress are in orange.
*A kind soul pointed out I had "Do something I've been putting off" twice so I changed #23 to "Grow Something"

- Choose a "My One Word" to focus my 33rd year
- Paint the canvas
- Read the whole Bible
- Finish 11 non-fiction books (they do not have to have been started during the year)
- Go some place new
- Serve/help/volunteer in a new way
- Capture Happiness every day
- Count my blessings
- Plan a trip
- Remember Birthdays
- Mail letters
- Visit my Grandma Stewart
- Build a snowman with my sister
- Take a hot air balloon ride with my mum
- Go for a hike in the woods (bonus points for more than one hike, if it is a treasure hunt, or it becomes an adventure)
- Create a photo book
- Learn a new skill
- Make a new friend
- Reconnect with past friends
- Dance
- Try a new food
- Draw
- Grow something (bonus points if it is food that I can harvest)*
- Be a vegetarian for 30 days
- Sleep under the stars
- Celebrate an obscure or odd "holiday"
- Send flowers
- Be flexible
- Get lost in a corn maze
- Send one of my works of fiction to a publisher
- Do something I've been putting off
- Host a murder mystery
- Go on a date (originally I had "fall in love" but that seemed unfair. This "go on a date challenge" is more of a "take a risk" or "put yourself out there" idea)
Challenges in progress are in orange.
