Disney Days Six & Seven: Epcot

Our last Disney days were at Epcot (with a journey over to Hollywood to see the Fantasmic night show). I really enjoyed our time at Epcot. It might be my favourite because there always seems to be something new to see or explore. I wish we could have another day there.

I loved walking around the "countries" in the world show case. To make it fun to children they've added Kim Possible missions. We got to "save the world" as "secret team Possible agents," which was a blast. There had been a lot of changes to the "science" pavilions near the giant golf ball. It was good from Soarin to Mission: Space where we went 3Gs -so cool!

Lee-Ann's Top Five Things:
1) Captain EO the 1986 Michael Jackson 3D show
2) Character lunch and meeting all the princesses
3) Soarin' ride
4) The Sea, both the Nemo ride and talking to the sea turtle crush
5) The Kim Possible Adventure "missions"

My Top Five Things:
1) Character lunch and meeting all the princesses
2) Talking to Crush
3) Mission: SPACE (orange)
4) Soarin' ride and the Living with the Land green house tour
5) The Japan section of the world tour

Disney Days Four & Five: Animal Kingdom

We spent Monday and Tuesday at Disney's Animal Kingdom full of "lion and tigers and bears, oh my!" Actually, I don't remember seeing a bear, so it was more lions and tigers and bugs, oh and don't forget the yeti. There were also dinosaurs, a great roller coaster (Expedition Everest), and the families favourite show "Finding Nemo The Musical". It was two great days, and since the park closed earlier it was two of our most laid back days.

If you going to Disney this park is impressive. First, there was seeing all the different animals. Information from the Disney World site they say it is "home to more than 1,700 animals from 250 species and sprawling across 500 acres of lush landscape, Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park is the largest animal-themed park in the world!" And second was the Tree of Life which is "a swirling tapestry of 325 animals carved into the bark of this massive attraction." With creatures like Galapagos tortoises, lemurs, sharks and tarmarins.
Lee-Ann's Top Five Things:
1) Everest Expedition
2) Finding Nemo The Musical
3) Kaili River Rapids
4) Kilimanjaro Safari
5) Seeing the animal (Pangani Forest Exploration Trail & Maharajah Jungle Trek) her only sadness was there were no platypus.
My Top Five Things:
1) Everest Expedition
2) Finding Nemo The Musical
3) Kaili River Rapids
4) Kilimanjaro Safari
5) Flight of Wonders (bird show)

The Next Disney Day: Hollywood Studio

Last Saturday we, my family and I, took one day to visit Disney Hollywood Studio. It was our first time at this park so everything was new. There was so much to see and do (but that is true about everything we did over the two weeks). At the time I kept comparing the park to Magic Kingdom and thinking it wasn't my favourite of the four parks.

Now, looking back, I have to say it was a great time. I loved the day and the time with my family. It was different and different is (can be) good. Hollywood Studio had some of my favourite things, see the top five list below. Plus it had Mum's favourite ride (Toy Story) and every moment was great.

Lee-Ann's Top Five Things:

5) Parade

First Two Days: Magic Kingdom

We took a tour of the Swiss Family Robinson's Treehouse, took a Jungle Cruise down the rivers of Asia, Africa, and South America, joined Jack Sparrow for a pirate adventure, flew magic carpets with Aladdin, visited Tom Sawyer's Island, watched some singing bears, and splashed over to Brier Rabbit's Laughin' Place...all before lunch the first day. Every moment of our magical day has been packed with one adventure after another. I'm finding it hard to remember everything we've done without looking at a park map.

I'm waiting for the Disney shuttle with my family. Sister is beside herself with joy. I have this love hate relationship with waiting. While waiting I just want "the big event" to happen. But some how the very act of waiting makes the arrival that much sweeter.

Can't wait to see the castle and the fun that will happen. So I've got to go the ride is here.

P.S. First time blogging on my iPod

TV Talk: I like...

...Bones. I like the show for a lot of reasons but at the moment it's the writers' timing. I'm not talking comic timing but the bigger picture timing.

Last week I was talking to a friend about the show and said I missed the character Wendell, which also got me thinking we hadn't seen Brennan's father for a while or Caroline. The TV power's that be must have agreed with me because the next episode I watched had all three. The same thing happened last year with the return of Zach. And another time a friend said that things were getting dry and the grave digger needed to make another appearance and she did in the next episode.

There are other timing things, little moments like a look between Angela and Hodgins, or a well placed comment from Booth. The writers just seem to know how to move the show along and I like that.
