Knit Night

Note: This post is by Steph

Tonight I took Liz to my knitting group. We meet at Starbucks and knit and chat and talk about any number of things. Since Liz was visiting me today I thought it would be wonderful for us to get a night out, and for me to share one of my favorite people with my group.

The group is very diverse. From stay at home moms to scientists, from nurses to drag queens. The only thing most of us have in common is knitting or spinning. That is one of the best things about the group, because we never run out of things to talk about, never get stuck in a rut and always have a lot of fun.

Liz fit right into the mix and made friends. It was a great evening, and I'm so glad she was able to come. Also, it was fun to help her buy some yarn and start a really great project, because knitting is wonderful.

Liz and knitting together, two of my favorite things, what could be better?

P.S. This is Liz: the beautiful yarn in the picture was hand-spun by Steph. She has a spinning wheel and a drop spindle and makes incredible blends of fibers. She even dyes some of them her self. If you are looking to buy some original yarns you should consider some of her skeins. They are wonderful.

Is Steph's knitting group in Halifax?
Talk to me about it sometime.

My main point of writing this is that I would like to know if you are going to be in Wolfville sometime during this week.

Happy whatever,
