The Simple Woman Daybook 58

FOR TODAY: May 22, 2011
You can find the more daybooks at Simple Woman's Daybook.

Outside my window...signs of spring.

I am thinking...happy news makes me happy -I am very happy.

I am thankful for...friends.

From the kitchen...hmm, lots of avocados. On Tabi's recommendation I've tried it on toast with a bit of butter = Very Tasty!

I am wearing....flowy white shirt with purple prints, flip flops, light purples tank under a flowy white blouse.

I am creating...something ceramic. A friend and I have a date at the Clayground today and were going to paint a dish or something else ceramic.

I am going...to the Clayground.

I am reading...Magic Kingdom for Sale -SOLD!, Sophie's World, Searching for God Knows What, Flatland, Love Wins, When Nothing Matters Anymore, Comforting Teens In Crisis, and Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports (audio).

I am hoping...for a productive cleaning week (four days till clean house deadline).

I am hearing...Doctor Who.

Around the house...its still a work in progress.

One of my favorite things...time with friends.

I received a cool email today from my boss from my time in Japan full of pictures and memories of my year in Japan...

love the pics!

do you have any more suggestions for avocado uses? i hate the taste of them, but they are so full of healthy things that i'm purposing to eat more of them. help? :) it seems all i can do with them is make chocolate pudding or salad dressing, which is fine, but anything else would be great.

Hi there.

Like the site, and heartfelt apologies for any asking this decidedly non-blog-related question here, but if a fella in Wolfville wanted to join the Best Word Writing group, just how would he go about doing it?

Many thanks,

Janey,

Just google "vegan avocado chocolate mousse" and you will find tons. This is the basic recipe: http://blogs.laweekly.com/squidink/2010/07/christy_morgan_the_blissful_chef_avocado_mousse_recipe.php

I like some cinnamon in mine. Make sure the avocado is VERY ripe. Also, cacao powder is raw chocolate powder, different than cocoa powder which is roasted. It's quite good!
