The Simple Woman Daybook 108

FOR TODAY: May 6, 2012
You can find the more daybooks at Simple Woman's Daybook.

Outside my window...the world is turning to dusk.

I am thinking...that pity parties are really no fun but knowing that and actually moving yourself out of a dark head space isn't easy.

I am thankful for...tissues.

I am wearing...dress pants, pink long sleeve shirt under my GEMS tshirt.

I am creating...the first strap to a felted purse. It's a big project that I expect to finish this time next year.

I am going...probably cry again before the nights done. It's been a rough few days but nothing is really "wrong" but everything feels wrong. I hate when bad feels feel louder than facts because the truth because knowing the truth doesn't change that I feel miserable.

I am reading...Moreta, Game of Thrones and The Glory Road.

I am hoping...to write tomorrow. I want to have a finished short story to share at writing group.

I am looking forward to...sleep.

I am hearing...the hum of the computer

Around the house...there is progress. I am sure if you came to visit you wouldn't see and change but I do there are little spots of progress. The successes are motivating me to keep at it. Motivation is helpful at this rate people will be able to visit for Christmas.

I am pondering...how to get out of a dark headspace pity party (normal Liz "find the joy" methods aren't working at the moment).

One of my favorite things...reunions and sushi fang.

A few plans for the rest of the week:...it should be a quite week. There is Best Word tomorrow then youth group Thursday. I have no plans for the rest of the nights but whenever I say that it turns out to be jam packed with more than enough. I expect this week will be no different.

Good luck leaving the pity party. I have days (nay, weeks) like that myself.
