Day 6: Sleeping In & SeaWorld
Today was beautiful because we slept in. We weren't in a rush to go any place in particular so we took the morning slow. I blogged, journaled, and read a bit. Good friends loaned me some great books to read in the airport and this was the first chance I had to start any of them.
The afternoon was spent at SeaWorld. Kat, Lee-Ann, and I rode Manta (short for manta rays) four times and The Kraken four times. Eight rides total; I still feel like I am going upside down. The girls loved the second roller coaster, it was fun, but I really loved the Manta. Once you are secured into the chair it tips back and locks so you spend the whole ride looking down so that you can fly through the air like manta rays glide through the water. It was crazy fun!
We also saw a cute show called Pets Ahoy, all the ticks were done by pets rescued from local shelters. It was hilarious, cleaver, and unbelievable. Like cats walking across tight ropes, something Kima would never do. The other show we saw was pirate themed with sea lions. The picture is with the girls and the human cast:
